The JazzHarmonic was founded in spring of 2006 when Chris Heslop, a woodwind player/composer thought he wanted to form his own classic jazz big band. Already a member of several in the New York/ Philadelphia areas, he decided to try something new. What has come about is a unique orchestra with its feet firmly planted in jazz.

Currently, the JazzHarmonic consists of three woodwinds, three strings, two french horns, two trumpets, two trombones, tuba, harp, guitar, piano, contrabass, two percussionists, drum kit, vocalist and a conductor.
